Sometimes it can be strange the kinds of things we remember from our childhood. I’d be willing to bet most of you did not know that. Whenever we children would use improper etiquette my dad would always ask “What are ya, an animal?”. Well, that debate continues, right? Are people animals? According to The American Heritage Dictionary there is a distinction between people and animals and gametic isolation backs this up. There are, however, remarkable similarities between primate genetics and those of humans for example.

Recently I heard a great story. Her owners took good care of and she was an old girl. She began showing signs of dog joint pain so they took her in to see an animal nutritionist a few years ago and the advice and pet arthritis products really did wonders for her. A guy was out on the town with his wife. When they came home to a house they locked before they left they found it in complete shambles. There was blood everywhere, every piece of furniture was turned upside down, and every curtain was ripped off the walls. It appeared as though the house had been broken in to. After they called the police they searched the house to see if there was still anyone in the house, you know, like they do on television. They looked to see if anything had been stolen once they cleared the house. Strangely enough nothing seemed to be stolen. They had a collie/sheppard mix.

These doors are specially designed and will only open for the dog that is wearing a special collar piece. This will keep other animals and potential crooks from entering the house. If your canine has spent little time around other species (i.e. cats, birds, etc.), he may have trouble adjusting to a household in which he’s not the only animal. If he was exposed to cats and other pets as a puppy, there is a much higher likelihood that he’ll assimilate into an environment with multiple species more easily. Like humans, familiarity plays a significant role in dispelling fear.

Dogs are still viewed as a man’s best friend, even though many of them would like to eat the remote control. It is because they have that characteristic of being dynamic, but they are at home with a television addicted couch potato. This mismatch can make for a strained human relationship – or a really sad dog.

There are many animals that have the instict to chase after things, but when they live with us, these things are usually dangerous to them. Any person that owns a dog knows this, and that’s why it’s a good idea to confine a dog to the owner’s property, usually by getting a pet fence.

The dog is an active and a curious animal. Dogs regularly dig around trash and have contact with other animals. Though this can appear funny, people don’t notice this can cause issues in the condition of the pet. Worms are said to be internal parasites. Worms can be seen straight away when the dog excretes them in the stool. There are some that can only be seen by a microscope once a blood sample has been taken.

When a pet is termed as bad by the owner, usually it is they who are the cause. When you are walking down the road, it is extremely annoying to find a pet jumping at you only to spoil your clean clothes. When your front yard is the chosen venue for the next door pet to leave his many calling cards, this is also frustrating. Would you like to call them bad dogs?
